Add WiFi extender to existing powerline adapter kit
Hi
I use a powerline adapter kit to attach an X-Box vis ethernet cable in my son's bedroom.
I would like to add a WiFi range extender upstairs as well.
If I buy a stand-alone extender unit will it connect to the existing set-up?
Which model(s) should I go for?
Thanks

Hi,
Do you have any powerline adapters now? If so, what is the model number?
FYI, all the TP-Link powerline adapters are compatible with each other, if you want to buy a single extender unit, it need connect to the main router by cable to broadcast network.
And the model begins with TL-WPAXXX supports wifi function. https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/
Good day.

Good day.
I have the TL-PA451KIT at present which provides cable-linked service upstairs.
Want to add a WiFi extender unit only if possible to provide stronger WiFi signal upstairs as well

Hi,
Considering the current adapter is TL-PA451KIT, if you want to add a single extender into the existing network, the TL-WPA4220 is a good choice.

May it help, have a nice day.

I have a TL-PA9020P which works really well using one of my electrical circuits, but only has 2 wired connections. Does TP-Link not have a product that can link into the Powerline circuit, and extract and broadcast a Wi-fi signal from that? If so, I'm a buyer.
