I have a home network consisting of AV500 3 x wifi extender units and 3 x adapter extenders for several years and it has done the job that I wanted. As is the case I purchased another wifi gadget for a part of my house that needed a wifi boost and so I purchased a AV600 TL WPA 4220 starter kit which includes the wifi extender and adapter from Amazon. For some reason the wifi extender would not connect a the red light showed instead of the expected green. I moved the unit to another plug socket and the same happened, it just would not connect. I returned the kit for a refund. Was I unlucky and received a faulty unit or are there compatibility problems with AV500 and AV600 units?
