Hi guys this is my first ever forum post as I've no idea who to ask on this one. I have a couple of TP-LINK AV500 Mini Powerline Adapters with which I am trying to set up a network link down to my garage, about 25m from the house for an IP camera. I can connect to the camera when it is in the house in various rooms with no problem but when I try and connect to the camera when it is in the garage and powered from one of the garage Mains sockets it wont connect. I tried powering the Powerline adaptor in the garage from an extension lead fed from the house and it works fine but every time I try it from a socket within the garage I lose communication. I thought it may be a problem with an RCD or something but all garage sockets and house sockets are protected be the same RCD in the house so everything is on the same circuit the only difference is that the garage Mains circuit has its own circuit breaker on the house fuse board but I wouldn't have thought that would cause a problem. I have thought of adding a Mains socket in the house from the garage supply and powering the house adaptor from this but its a big job to do on a hunch so ideas would be appreciated. Cheers, Mike.

this is phenomena, obstructions can cause signal degradation depending on the density of the obstruction. So, it means your areas that you put TP - LINK adapters or camera should be avoided in crowded and full of stuff or let your cameras put on the spare rooms and far position to get the accurate signal and connection for example you can put on the side of your house. the another factor is the roof of your garage is blocked of something that makes connection down.
