Modem - hardwire- Android TV - speed 90 Mbps.

Same problem started about 2 weeks ago. AC1750v2. Connected directly to modem I get over 100M download. Connected through router with Ethernet cable, I get about 35M download and wireless is about 30M. Did firmware upgrade to latest version listed on tp-link support page. Also, did factory restore per suggested by support page.

Check the wired link speed on the TV or computer. If it's less than 100Mbps, change the Ethernet cable. Login the admin interface of your router, check if there is hardware NAT, disable it if there is an option.

I had replaced the Ethernet cable from my pc to the router with no change in speeds. After I did the firmware update, I am now not only having slow speeds but also dropping connection. Before upgrade I just had slow speeds now my devices keep having to reconnect about every couple of hours.

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. After he had me connect multiple computers back and forth from router to modem to verify speeds and multiple Ethernet cable changes (all which I had already done and told him that several times) he says I need to replace my router. I told him we spent the last 2 hours verifying that all of my hardware wasn't the problem and the only solution I got was to replace it? What happened to alternate firmware or log files or next level support?

The firmware update apparently did not install properly. Downloaded again and updated. Afterwards I reset the router. Then reset the modem. (Not just powering down- but actually sticking a pin in the back of the router in the reset hole. It is now working properly. Slight speed loss on Wifi through router (as expected) but full speed hardwired.
