I own the range extender TL-WA850RE V4. I have noticed two issues:
I had to downgrade the firmware, from the latest one to 171116, because on smartphones it looses the connection after a while, so no viber messages etc, unless i close and open again the smartphone wifi. It seems that the "reduced unnecessary data traffic" feature on 171218 firmware causes this.
[*]In general, from the very beginning, the device makes a strange notable high pitch noise. The more you get closer to the extender, the more you hear it.
