Archer C8 (v1) Not Seeing Seagate backup plus 6TB USB Drive on usb 3.0

I have an Archer C8 V1 with the latest firmware of may 2016 (file: c8v1_un-up-ver4-0-0-P4[20160517-rel44603].bin).
I plugged a Seagate backup plus 6TB USB Drive on the usb 3.0 port, but the router does not recognize it. HDD Led is on, but the router´s software cannot see it.
However, on the USB 2.0 port it works just fine, but at USB 2.0 speed.
Any idea of why this happens and how to make the seagate hdd work on the USB 3.0 port?
