Make Internet Calls with Your Deco
The upcoming VDSL Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Gateway, Deco X73-DSL supports VoIP features, which means that you can make calls via the internet with multiple telephony features on your Deco. For example, you can add your telephone numbers, contacts, and telephony devices to your Deco to make and receive calls, make emergency calls, receive voice mail, block incoming calls, and more.
Read on to find out what you can do with all these features.
Emergency Number
Emergency Number allows your telephony device to automatically call emergency numbers when the handset is picked up but no operation is done. This way, if there’s ever a dire situation at home, anyone can send signals for help by triggering the feature.
Now, suppose you’ve added 2 emergency numbers, 01 and 02, and set a 3-seconds no-operation limit. If no operation is done 3 seconds after the handset is picked up, your telephony device will automatically call the 01 number first and then call the 02 number.
Telephony Devices
If you have more than one telephony device (e.g., analog phones), when a number is called, all of your telephony devices will ring at the same time. For Decos that support phone ports, you can connect your analog phone to your Deco and specify different incoming and outgoing call numbers for them separately.
Do Not Disturb
There are often times where we don’t want any disruptions, like working hours or even during family get togethers. For these moments, there's the Do Not Disturb mode. When enabled, all incoming calls will be blocked within the defined timeframe. In this case, you will have no telephone rings during the scheduled times. Later, when you are free, you can check the missed calls in the call log easily.
Call Blocking
Have you ever been harassed by a specific number or an unknown caller? Or accidentally dialed an international call and caused high charges? Call Blocking can solve both of these problems. With Call Blocking, block certain incoming and outgoing calls. For example, enter a phone number that you want to be blocked, then you will never receive a call from that number. Conversely, you can also enter an international number that you don’t want to dial out, then you can avoid incuring expensive surcharges.
Call Forwarding
It’s easy to miss some important calls when you are busy. Call Forwarding allows you to forward some incoming calls to a designated telephone number. This way, when no one answers the incoming call, it’ll be forwarded to your mobile phone so that you won’t miss it.
Voicemail
Voicemail allows callers who go unanswered to leave voice mail. When you’re on vacation and cannot receive any calls at the moment, people can leave you messages for when you return.
