TL-WR802N: connected devices still talk, even when main hub is down?
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I use software called ShareMouse ( http://www.keyboard-and-mouse-sharing.com/) which enables me to control my main computer (iMac) with a laptop (MacBook). This happens over Wi-Fi, however the routet in our house is shared and sometimes it comes under such strain that it needs to be rebooted, causing the connection to drop.In order to insulate myself from this I thought that perhaps I could configure the TL-WR802N router and re-purpose it so that it would be a "hub" that would enable my two computers to still talk to each other, even if the router it was connected to went down.I would like to know if this is possible and what "mode" I would need to use e.g. Client Mode? Many thanks.
