Hi,
I've just bought a brand new Archer C59.
I have a symmetric Ethernet connection of 200MBPS. This is indeed the speed I get when I connect the computer directly to the wall.
However, I cannot get more than 100MBPS from the router. (With either wired or wireless connection.)
I would appreciate very much any ideas why this problem happens and how to solve it.

Hey, I have exactly the same problem as you. My Archer C20 receives 200 - 215mbps from the wall and delivers only 80mbps.

archer C59 does not have gigabit ports. They are all FastEthernet ports, and therefore only support speeds of up to 100MBps. You need a router with gigabit ethernet

@yurividal how do you explain the specs listed here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c59/v1/#specifications it says specifically "1x Gigabit WAN port"  isn't this false advertising?

The specification you pointed out needs to be updated, the hardware v1 has 4 10/100Mbps LAN Ports & 1 10/100Mbps WAN Port.
