Hi - I've bought the TP-Link Archer D7 AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router recently. Having problems configuring it so it will connect to Plusnet broadband (ADSL not fibre) in the UK. Have received VPI/VCI (0/38) and Connection type (PPPoA) info from Plusnet but still can't get it connected. Router recognised by my devices no problem. Anyone got a fix, or know it simply can't work with Plusnet?

Are you sure about ADSL protocol from ISP?

Well that's the info they gave me - although I must admit the guy didn't sound entirely convincing in his knowledge. Do you think it should connect if I definitely get the right info from them, as far as you know?

Sorry I'm from Poland and I don't know "Plusnet" provider. In my country very often we have VDSL protocol by phone line. Do you have any modem/router from ISP? Can you show me status tab from TP-Link because I don't have much technical info about your internet provider.

Here's the info provided by my ISP. I can't post the router status page just now because I'm connected via the ISP's router/modem.

Broadband username or login name

yourusername@plusdsl.net
Connection type or encapsulation 'PPPoA' or 'PPP over ATM'
Password The password you use to log in to the Member Centre
Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) 0
Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI) 38
Multiplexing method 'VC Based' or 'VCMUX' or 'VC-Multiplexing'

It syas it auto-detects successfully. At the end of the process I see the following note:
Note: Some connections will be deleted: (pppoa_0_38_0_d)

Could it just be that I've entered my ISP password incorrectly during the router set-up process?
