Hello, i have problem with achieving max speed through this router. I have 500/500 Mpbs connection as I read v4 is good enough to provide full speed of this IC. How should I setup router to use it with max speed?
My cables are ok, were testing Internet connection by plug them directly to my pc (got 500/500 in speed tests), connecting through router decreases internet connection speed to 300/300.
Upgrading firmware and restoring to default (as I was told on tplink-forum.pl) doesn't fix the problem.
Is anyone using this router with at least 500 Mpbs (download) IC?

Definitely not, since it is a 450 Mbps router. That means that the signal rate (wireless speed) is up to 450 Mbps in 802.11n mode (negotiated dynamically). If you achieve 300 Mbps data rate over a wireless link with the TL-WR1043, then it is almost certainly operating at the maximum signal rate of 450 Mbps. Remaining 150 Mbps of signal rate over data rate is consumed by protocol overhead of wireless frames. To achieve a data rate of 500 Mbps you will need at least a 750+ Mbps WiFi link in 802.11n mode with 40 MHz channel width (depending on the modulation method used).

As you have in a topic, U was talking about WAN/LAN not WIFI. But someone got an answer from tplink support, they screw up software :(

So thread can be closed for now.

" connecting through router" could be either through LAN or WiFi, but not WAN. If not described clearly, one can only guess what you are doing.
