Hi, I have an Archer C3150 v1 with firmware version 0.9.1 0.1 v005f.0 Build 160707 and I have a problem where sometimes more than once a day the 5Ghz band disconnects to some of my devices or works really bad, most noticiable under heavy usage situations (like plex streaming). I have to reset the router for it to go back to work as usual. I wonder if there's something to fix it? I've seen that Archer C7 is having the same issue, could it be something like it?

I gave up, and got an Asus RT-AC5300, it's a superior product in every way. It looks like you've abandoned the C3150 v1, and your support appears to really stink with other routers as well, sad, your pricing coupled with great service and products could really make a dent in the US, but I'm afraid Asus, Netgear and Linksys have you beat. I'm staying clear of TP-Link routers from now on, though your 16 port Gigabit switch has been flawless, but switches are pretty simple devices too.
So, fix your customer service, hardware/software support and product quality, and I'll be glad to give you another chance.

I'm having the same issue with this router. Constantly have to reboot it and even at full bars no traffic comes through. Really not happy with the product. Updated to latest firmware and still not working properly

Same disconnection issues with US V1

Add me to the list of complaints. it's really sad that this is such a prevalent issue, yet tp-link ignores. Going back to Amazon to leave a very negative review. At least other people should not be burned by this.

I did this, and they sent me build 170526, which appears to date back to 27 May 2017. I'm a bit reluctant to install it though. What does it fix or improve (if anything)? Can you roll back to an older version if it doesn't work?

The best build is the original build: V1 - 160227 (US). I'm also very disappointed with the quality of tp-link products. Sadly, we can't even install dd-wrt on the c3150; dd-wrt would have alleviated some of the software related problems. I installed dd-wrt on my c9 and it works beautifully. Right now I'm considering making a donation to dd-wrt so that they can focus on creating a c3150 firmware. I've lost faith in tp-links ability to make quality firmware or products. I'm not sure whats going on with the company, but if they don't get their act together they are going to lose customers fairly quickly.

I think it's worth to have a try, it fixes the 5G dropping and signal disappear issue. If not working, you can contact them again.
