[TL-WR841N] Devices connected to TL-WR841N stop being able to use the Internet after a short time of inactivity
Model : TL-WR841N
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/10/14) std - build 23320
ISP : Movistar
Hello
I've set up my TL-WR841N to work as a repeater. The main router has IP address 192.168.1.1 while the repeater is 192.168.1.2.
It seems to work fine at first but as soon as I stop using any device connected to it for a short period of time (like 5 minutes), the device won't be able to browse the Internet unless I reconnect to the repeater again (but I'm still connected to the repeater and the signal is really good)
. It's annoying and I don't really know how to fix this. By the way, even though there is a label in the back of the TP-LINK that says TL-WR841N, the router model in the homepage actually says TP-Link TL-WR841ND v8.
Also, I've tried to access the repeater when the device can't browse any website and it works, I type 192.168.1.2 and I can see the settings website. I can even access the main router at 192.168.1.1 and the page will load as usual, it just won't work if I try to go somewhere else like Google
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
