Model : Archer T1U AC450
Hardware Version : 1.1
Hi,
I would like to know if there is any way to get the driver for Archer T1U AC450 on Linux for the current kernel !!
You're saying everywhere it's working on Linux which is wrong.
I'm, like a lot of people, on Ubuntu 16.04 with 4.4.0-38-generic kernel.
TP-Link people ? can someone give an answer and a solution ?
Otherwise it's useless !
Thanks
amans

I have the same problem. I couldn't install on MacOS (it froze MacOS Sierra). Now I'm trying to install on Ubuntu 16.04 (the latest) and it doesn't work. Very frustrating.

I am the same problem on archlinux with kernel 4.8.8.
is this device ever gonna be supported on new linux kernel.
this kernel is not realy new.
I am really disappointed with tp-link linux support. linux kernel 3.16 was released 2.5 years ago.
I may not buy any more tplink devices if this is what they mean by linux support.

This is a bloody joke. I bought the T1U because it said "Linux Support" on the box. What it should have said was we compiled our drivers for Linux when we designed the product and have absolutely no intention to update them EVER! If you are looking for a company that supports Lunix Wi-Fi then TP-Link are not the one for you. I'm half tempted to get trading standards on them to get them to remove all their products and repackage them without the false calim they support Linux because it's clearly something they are not supporting.
Supporting does not mean compiling some old drivers once and forgetting about it.
