I downloaded the windows 10 driver for the device and installed it ( http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/Archer-T8E.html). However in device manager it is still recognised as an unknown device and if I try to manually install it windows gives me an error. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I tried that and I still get the same error message. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway.

thanks m4paws. Boy, Im glad I didnt re-install Windows. Something so simple. Any way to get rid of the editor background and go fullscreen with the tables?

Ive never installed a new adapter, so it slipped past me. If you have an adapter in your pc already, like how mine is just a chip on the board, you have to disable it in device manager, then reboot and install the drivers for the TP link. PC can only have 1 adapter active at a time.
