WiFi not working and can not access my routers admin anymore how to fix

I was haveing huge problems with my WiFi router working then dropping out . I upgraded the firmware now i cannot get into my router only have cable access to the internet. I tried reseting the router with a pin in the hole at the back. But no luck. i have switched it off and did reset 2 or 3 times no luck. The router is TP_link TL wr1043nd. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on resetting this router so I may fix my wifi problem. i do not wish to buy a new router at this stage.
