Archer C2600 System Log Issue

I just bought a TP Link Archer C2600 and have an issue with logging. It only logged 52 items then stopped. The timestamp was OK.
I updated the firmware and tried again but still only 52 items logged and the time now starts at 1st Jan 2015 even though the time is derived successfully from the Internet.
I bought this to log Internet access so without the logs it is no improvement on what I had.
Any ideas (and yes I have rebooted)?
