Archer D9 - ping by hostname, unusable Archer_D9_v1_150826 firmware
Firmware Version : Archer_D9_v1_150826
I have realised that the Archer D9 does not currently support ping by hostname to LAN address. I have never owned a router which does not have this functionality and for more than a day was trying to get it to work thinking I had some configuration problem but I am not alone going by some other posts. I have tried the latest firmware - which whilst it might look nice, is *incredibly* buggy (unusable for me so rolled back to previous version), but both firmware versions exhibit the same behaviour.
I would like some input from TP-Link as well as some feedback from other users as to how they combat this gaping shortcoming.
I am seriously hoping that, having spent a not insignificant amount of money on this device, that TP-Link will;
# fix this DNS registration issues in the next firmware.
# make the firmware less buggy (Archer_D9_v1_150826 is so buggy I simply cannot believe you have released it in its present state).
regards
