I believe the answer to be no, but I'd like confirmation from experts as I cannot find it explicitly stated as such.

Does the WDR4300 support telnet by default? Or is custom firmware needed?

I'm able to access telnet on my Archer C20i by simply typing in telnet 192.168.0.1 in cmd.

User/pwd is the same as GUI login.
