TD-W9980 with BT fibre and no OpenReach Modem
Model :
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Is it possible to connect the W9980 directly to the BT VDSL line?
I have recently had two BT fibre broadband installations done.
One with a modem (Huawei Echolife HG612?) which worked with no problems at all.
The second, for some reason which I am chasing, was not installed with a modem. I didn't think this would be a problem since the device is a Modem Router but I couldn't get any satisfaction.
I tried the wizard with the BT settings but that failed (presumably because settings are expecting a modem).
Then tried 'Others' to select all of my own parameters. Couldn't select PPPoA and WAN status showed 'Connecting' but never did.
Is there a way to do this or the W9980 only an ADSL Modem?
Thanks.
