Model : Archer D7 ver:1.1

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : 1.6.0 0.9.1 v002d.0 Build 160216 Rel.57110n

ISP : Infostrada (IT)

5Ghz Wi-Fi disappears suddenly. 2.4 Ghz remains visible but I can't connect to it.

This is a problem on all my devices - two laptops, two phones and a smart tv.

I need to turn off and back on the modem-router manually. Wi-Fi works for 10 minutes or few hours and 5ghz disappears again while 2.4Ghz remains visible but is impossible to connect to.

I reset it to factory defaults but it doesn't help. I upgraded firmware to the latest version. Nothing helps.

The problem is getting worse by the day.

Anybody else has this probem?

I have the same exact problem.

I already RMA'd the router once. I got an entirely new router of the same model as a replacement and even that suffers from the same issue. Unless I am extremely unlucky and got two broken products in a row, I suspect that this actually a firmware bug (running the latest 160216).

I'm currently in contact with TP-Link support, I'll let you know how it turns out.
