Client Mode 702n

I am trying to run the 702n in client mode. Its for a blue ray dvd player that has no wifi (just wired connection). My router in client mode seems to work but only sometimes. I find i have to reset the router, program it to client mode again and connect it again for it to work. Any ideas?
The 702 n is not updated. I tried updating it but could not figure out how to extract the bin file in the update file.
