Re: Archer C9 Version 1
As so many others had noticed, I too was finding the parental controls difficult to work with. In my case, I am used to being able to block specific computers/devices access to the internet with my wireless router. While there is a work-around method which allows you to use the an empty whitelist to effectively block internet access. It also causes problems because it blocks access to the computer /device from the local network as well. This is not how most routers operate.
I like to block internet access to various devices (like IP cameras, wireless NAS, wireless printers) permanently to make sure that data is not secretly being sent "behind-my-back". However, in blocking internet access, the router should not prevent access to the device on the local network.....but this is what I am noticing in the Archer C9 Router.
THIS IS A VERY POOR IMPLEMENTATION.
Therefore this is a fix I would like to see in successive firmwares.....
