WA850RE constantly disconnects

I'm not sure what to do. The WA850RE drops the connection every couple of minutes. I upgraded the firmware but the only change that came from that was that I no longer need to unplug and plug it in again in order to reconnect - it will now reconnect automatically after several minutes. However, I cannot download anything because the connection lasts for only minutes at a time...
