I think you may try to contact with TP-LINK locally, then you could get a new USB cable instead.

Hi Clarker , I already contacted TP-Link , and honestly their support is very poor so far. I can't get a part number, neither a place where to get that specific cable. They sent me a list of ressellers which I could find my self and where I don't have an account since I'm a End-User. Then I have to create an account , give credit information and ask them one by one ...have you used this Unit ? Can you confirm my theorie of that connector longer than the standard usb 3.0 ? thanks again !!

IT seems that TPLINk provided they own specific cable USB to Micro-B with a longer connector than the one provided on the regular market.

I experienced a similar issue. I purchased a 2m cable as the 1m cable in the box wasn't long enough. I noticed that the 2m cable would fall out easily. It was an 8Ware "certified" cable. When I went to replace it I noticed the difference in length and design of the cables. The black one is the original TP-Link supplied cable, while the blue one on the right is the 8Ware cable. Looking around at images of other USB 3.0 Micro B male cable ends I cannot find any third party cables that look like the TP-Link supplied one. Any suggestion on how to locate a 2m+ cable that securely sits in the hub or should I look to return the hub?
