Hi Everybody,

please find below my configurations for the AV500 router and extender.

Extender:





Router:





As you can see the channel of the extender 2.4ghz network is not the same as the router. The problem is, that on channel 11 I have a lot of interference with other networks in my house. Is there a way to change this? Cloning the router's settings doesnt' change anything! I would also like to change the mode to 11n only on the extender which also doesn't work.

Looking forward to any suggestions!

You can go to "wireless>wireless setting" to change channel and mode as you want.

Hi Alan,

thanks a lot for your response. However I am unable to change the channel and mode as you suggested in the repeater. I can change it in the router of course, but not for the extender:






There is no such thing as "wireless settings", that's why I am stuck!

It seems that the model of your device is special and the web page is different. Mine has the option of wireless setting too.

Hi duddy,

that's strange indeed! Maybe you could post a screenshot of your extender's web interface and the firmware / hardware version you are using? I was looking for a firmware update to maybe bring back this function but didn't find any.

Hi Alan12,

thanks a lot for sharing your specs with me. Seems to me the only difference is the hardware, since you are using a WPA4220 and I am using the AV500 H5E. Maybe I will give it a try an replace the firmware on my extender with the one you are using. Maybe this brings back the channel and mode functionality. I will let you know if this worked for me! ;)
