Hi,
I can't reach speeds higher than 4-5 Mbps using a TL-WN823N adaptor running under Windows 10. Drivers are properly installed.
Speed in upload is 4x download speed what is extremely rare.
Wired connections and other wireless conections are giving 130Mbps and 60-70 Mbps respectively.

What could be the problem?

Thanks and regards.

What's the link speed of wireless network connection on PC installed WN823N?
It might be a driver issue. If possible, you'd better install it on PC running on Windows 7 or 8 to test.

Thanks for your reply.

Link speed is about 72 Mbps most time, it changes between 54 and 100 Mbps.

The PC is brand new.

I installed Win10 yesterday, until then I was running Win 7 Ultimate 64 but no way.

Hi, I have this adapter since yesterday and the same problem occurs on my W10 PC. Speed varies between 2 and 15Mbps instead of 30Mbps. My smartphone and my laptop don't have any problems to connect at the same location in my room and get constant 30Mbps connection.
Did you find a solution to this problem ?

Finally, I solved it by changing the adapter, I'm using an Archer T2UH from TP-LINK.
It has an antenna and it's much more bigger than TL-W823N, but it works fine. Now I get 25-27 Mbps, while the connection (wired) is 30Mbps.

Of course no answer was given by Tp-Link.

Regards.

measuring the speed

Hello,
the connection speed does not give the throughput speed.
I use the program at www.appspeed.nl to measure how much bytes are transferred. It is in Dutch but it is a very simple programm so maybe you understand it.
