Hi all,

Thanks to your advice I've bought 4 adapters, 2x TL-PA8030P's & 2x TL-PA8010's! They work really well, minus the odd network drop (not often though). Anyway I thought I'd upgrade the firmware to the latest (force of habit with any hardware). For some reason the version number has dropped from 1200A-2.0.0.375-03_803111_150209 to 1200A-2.0.0.367-02_803111_141031!

I wasn't intending on downgrading. Please can someone provide me with the latest firmware?

Many thanks!

The one on their website should be the latest firmware.
After upgrade, your problem has not been solved?

Well yes you would think it's the latest, but it appears not to be. (If you look at my before and after photos). And no the occasional dropouts still exist.

When connection drops out, how about status of powerline lights on those adapters? Check the status of local area connection. What's the IP address obtained?
How does the connection work again?

I'll be sitting there and sometimes they will start to flash orange/red. I just would like to know where I can obtain the latest firmware of 2.0.0.375-03_803111_150209! :)

It should be flashed in factory defaults. It is not available to us.

Thanks M Diamond. So can anyone from TP Link please confirm that you will not make the latest firmware available to me? It seems ridiculous that I'll have to send the device back to have a replacement when all you need to do is share a file!

I was having some weird issues and it turned out each of the devices were shipped with different firmware versions. One had the older fw available from the site, and the second had the newer one you posted above. I've flashed them both with the older fw now and they seem OK.

It does seem baffling though that they are not making the newer firmwares available on the UK site. If you go to the page for the 8030-kit (or even the UK site for the 8010 which should be the same device) there are newer firmwares available, but I'm just not sure if they will be suitable for the uk plugs.

It seems just like they are not keeping the uk support page up to date.

That's strange. I wonder why that's the case. The one of the US website is a later revision than the one I had before. I wonder if I should flash it...?

I guess if you keep the old fw handy in case you need to reflash it it might be worth a try.

I've asked tp link support about the firmware versions and will report back if they provide any useful info. It would be worth anyone else also pushing them to keep the support page up to date with the latest fw, as the UK one at least is very old.

Had a quick chat with the tp link support chat and eventually was told the firmware 'should be universal' so it should be ok to flash v150423 from the US site. Not sure when i'll get a chance to try it out but if you do try it please report back http://www.tp-link.us/download/TL-PA8030P-KIT_V1.html#Firmware
