TP Link WR1043ND v1 gets lost in the network

Hey!
I have a TP Link WR1403ND v1. Due to a new internet provider (Unitymedia in Germany) I'm forced to use a "Unitymedia Horizon Box" as my modem and DHCP Server. I tried to connect them and I'm able to use the TP-Link WiFi with the Internet of the Horizon Box. However, as soon as I connect the Horizon Box to the TP Link, the TP Link goes missing (IP wise). This also happens if I use TP Link on its own. Example:
I factory reset TP Link, do not connect anything. I connect my laptop per LAN. I change the IP Address in the TP Link settings from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.192.199. The TP link reboots but I cannot contact it again (neither under 192.168.1.1 nor under 192.168.192.199). Its just gone. If I do a factory reset I can find it again under 192.168.1.1.
Why do I do that?
Because my Horizon Box has a DHCP server I have to use. The DHCP server is set to start giving out IPs from 192.168.192.2 up to 192.168.192.66. If I "just" connect the TP link (IPsetup 192.168.1.1) to the Horizon I cannot access it again. It does not show up in the DHCP list of Horizon. If I change TP link to 192.168.192.199 before connecting it, i cannot find it too. In no way am I able to find the TP link, if I connect it to Horizon. However, it does work: He distributes internet over the WiFi. So... what now? It seems as if the router is not able to use another IP for some reason? Ideas?
Kind Regards
Constantin
