Hi everyone,

I just bought a TP-LINK Archer C20i with the hope I will get more than 2.3MB/s over WiFi from a PC computer connected by wire to a laptop/phone connected by WiFi. But the maximum speed it hits is 3MB/s for a second then it drops to 2.4 - 2.6MB/s. I've tried turning hardware NAS off, turning DHCP off, running in single band, I've also tried to find a channel that no one else uses but still the problem persist. I've tested by copying a large file from PC to laptop/phone. Also I've tried a speed test to see if the internet speed is different. I have a 100mbps internet connection and on PC I get like 98.6mbps so this one runs ok. The only problem is WiFi.

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

What you mentioned is LAN to WLAN speed instead of Wi-Fi speed, isn't it?
You tried any other router with a better LAN to WLAN speed? Maybe it is the limitation of clients themselves.

Yeah from a wired connected pc to a wireless phone. I've rebooted my phone (S2 Plus) and now seems to run at 32-36Mbps, a little better. Also I had the chance to test it on a newer tablet and it goes up to ~80Mbps so I'm starting to think it's not the routers fault, might be the laptop and the phone. The phone seems to be making a connection of 62Mbps and the laptop a 54Mbps one.
