So I bought this adapter 3 days ago and it was nothing but troubles.
I even reinstalled my windows and still after that when I did a ping 192.168.1.1 -n 100 most would be under 3ms but it spiked to 300ms sometimes, avarage was 120ms and max was 500ms i guess

my router is 1m away from the adapter and on the ground on right of it! my desktop is on my desk
I also pinged on Ubuntu 15.04 and it barely got over 1ms but did sometimes get to 50ms 100ms(barely) which i guess is fine.

Games are completely unplayable.

Sometimes when i repair the driver its fine i guess till i reboot!
I tried the other drivers on the download page and it was fine. till i rebooted to ubuntu and got back! if i keep repairing or messing with driver it gets ok for a while. i one time got it to work but it would stop working every 15m for few seconds (it would disconnect but it would show it as still connected)

i tried changing channels, even tethering the wi-fi connection from my phone is faster!

Try chipmaker's driver(AR9380). By the way, what's the operating system of your PC?

They ask you try different drivers, right? lol...
As the adapter doesn't work like a router, if there is a problem with the adapter indeed, it should be a driver problem.
