Hello,

I have ordered TP-Link WDR4300 and would like to ask a question.

There is free internet around my flat and i would like to ask if it possible to create this configuration?

There is 2.4GHz and 5GHz connection outside.

I want to connect both via router and bridge them and serve them as 2.4GHz to my home.

Just to be clear;

My routers 2.4 GHz band will connect to free 2.4 GHz lets say SSID-1
My routers 5 GHz band will connect to free 5GHz which is SSID-2

And i will combine (bridge) SSID-1 and SSID-2 and serve to my home as 2.4 GHz SSID-3..

Is it possible?

Hi,

Depending on wireless sources, I don't think it is possible.

A double bridge creates a "hell loop" so only one bridge is allowed.

hello,

for this setup u'll to buy 2 routers + Load balancer (or VPN Router)

1) 1st router is for 2.4 Ghz & 2nd router is for 5 Ghz

2) after bridged both routers, then u'll have to connect both routers LANs into LOAD BALANCER's WAN or LAN to combine & use it as a single internet via Wired / wireless as u desire...

2nd suggestion

need 2 routers + 2 lan cards (or 1 wireless adapter) in pc + CONNECTIFY (pro version software) & u'll good to go in using multiple combined internet at a time ...

Thanks for all answers. So it is not possible with 1 router..

Any ideas about 3rd party firmware?

Because i remember that at openwrt you can bridge any interfaces.

I know this forum is not for Openwrt but i am just asking :D

FYI , with my old Linksys E3000 and DD-WRT, I got also a "hell loop" !
