Region : Australia

Model : Archer C2

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : Latest

ISP : Optus Cable

I've setup Parental Controls to simply block all internet to 2 Mac address's / IP addresses on my wireless network starting at a set time then ending 4 or 5 hours later.
This is simply to block my kids computers from the internet at bedtime.
If I turn on parental controls the block starts immediately regardless of the time and it wont switch on access in the morning.
I've tried many settings and nothing works.

You must set up NTP Time synchronization first as the router doesn't know what time it is now. :cool:

Follow the above FAQ to complete the configuration :)

I have set the Time and correctly configured the settings based on the links you guys have shown me

Edit- I noticed the Time was set wrong so I clicked the Get time from PC button and the time and dates changed.

I had previously Set the time this way so it may have changed when I updated the router firmware recently.
From memory I had the problems from before the firmware update.

I will check on it and post an update.

Still not working. As soon as I enable the parental controls the internet is immediately blocked to all mac address's i added to the list.
I removed the 2 kids Mac address's from the parental controls list and put in my mobile phone and its blocked before the set time.
Now when I go into the Mac address list there are several Mac address's missing from the list.

Maybe you can post screenshots of the time synchronization settings and parent control schedule settings.

So we can look into the configuration.

In addition, have you checked daylight saving settings?

@Madnezz As you said that you want to block all internet, you didn't add any URL, right?
But if we didn't add URL, it will block all internet access and it is not limited by the schedule.
In your case, try to add a URL to see if the schedule will take effect.

I am doing Time of day blocking on a C9 (which does differ from the C2)
but I found the parental controls to be a bit limiting (although it does look like the c2 may be slightly better in this regard) So I am using 'Access control' instead.

So as an alternative using Access control;

you would need to go to Access control
create the Schedule.
define the Host/Hosts (using your kids MAC address/addresses)
create Rule - LAN host; Defined host from above - Target; Any Host - Rule; Deny - Enabled
then at the top of the rule screen;
tick "Allow the packets not specified by any filtering rules to passthrough this device."
and then "Enable Internet access control"
