Deco X50 - PoE v2 5Ghz channel
I'm from Bolivia and I purchased 2 Two Pack of Deco X50 -PoE's for my home through an authorized reseller.
In my country the available channels are 149-165, my Samsung Galaxy A52 and S21 can't connect to 5Ghz network but iPhones can. Is there a way to change this setting?
Product model is: Devo X50-PoE(US) Ver 2.0.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
Can you share any online documents that only band 4: channel 149-165 is allowed in Bolivia?
Did you purchase both iPhones and the Samsung phones from the local reseller?
I think the Devo X50-PoE(US) still prefers band 1 over 5 GHz now.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Actually the local authority is licensing frecuencies 5.150 to 5.250 MHz and 5.350 to 5.460 MHz for public Internet deployment on cities and small towns.
Here's the official document (in spanish)

However, it seems that Samsung didn't get the memo (or doesn't care). Although my phones can work with Band 1, it automatically disables it based on geolocation.
Both phones acquired through my Cellphone provider. It's a worlwide known issue that Samsung opted to disable frequencies based on geolocation

I have other WiFi routers which allow me to change the Channel, if i set it to 149 my WiFi works with no issues. I've heard that in Bangladesh they have the same problem.
Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Thanks for the update.
If both band 1 and band 4 are allowed for 5 GHz, Deco would usually opt for band 1 as it is more widely used.
If band 4 was selected, you might find that more 5G clients can't connect to the Wi-Fi now.
5GHz band preference usually follows the hardware region code, and there hasn't been a beta firmware for Deco X50-PoE that allows changing the region code.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP do you think is possible to update the GPL code center to include X50-PoE v2? Since I can't change the operating WiRi channel and my Samsung phones won't connect to 5Ghz, at least I can try to cook my own firmware.
