My solution which worked today:
I tool the repeater & set it up on another different ssid (different house) & it worked. Then back to my house I redefined it again & voila it worked!

It seems that the RE is already connected the wireless link with the netgear. But the RE cannot acquire any IP address from the router, so do your computers/phones connected to the RE.
Check the settings on your netgear. Clear up any ARP rules, IP-MAC binding rules, DHCP reservations rules.

Actually there is no any change in the location of the main router or extender, I am able to access the internet directly from the main router through my laptop or mobile, also I cannot access the main router location physically even I cannot access the main router configuration, what can I do in this case ?!.. thanks alot for the support .coca koala wrote

1. Range extender mode 1 (Universal Repeater mode)
2. Range extender mode 2 (WDS Repeater mode)
Try switch to mode 2, re-detect the front wifi and connect to it, save and reboot.
I still think there are some settings had been changed on the router, you'd better consult with the router administrator.

1. Log into RE, navigate to settings menu, there will two modes:
2. Try switch to mode 2,
3. re-detect the front wifi and connect to it,
4. save and reboot.

I have the same problem.
the same repeater tl-wa850re was working so fine for more than 4 months now (I made the setup for it twice & it was ok) all of the sudden it stopped providing internet..
So, I reset it, updated the firmware & made the setup again reboot it but still the same problem..!!
Any solution please??
