Hello,

I have just ordered the TP-Link TL-PA8030P Kit AV1200 3-Port Passthrough Powerline Adapter Starter Kit from Amazon.

My current set up I am querying about is that I have a Billion 8800AXL router with a 10m ethernet cable connected to a TP-Link TL-SG1008D 8-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch which is sat behind my TV. I have the LG TV, YouView Box, Apple TV, Apple Mac laptop and LG BluRay Player attached to this. All is good.

I want to get rid of the 10m Ethernet Cable and use the powerline adapters - would I be able to attach the switch to the powerline adapters or is this not advised? Also, is there any MAC set up software?

Cheers,

Rick.

Two paired powerline adapters can work like an ethernet cable, so it should be fine to connect the router and switch by powerline adapters.
I didn't see a new version utility for MAC. Try the one as below. It is an old version and but it should work as well.
