put wrong firmware 741n instead of real one (841n)

i had installed wrong firmware in WR841n & after that it's not login/working anymore.. (juz working like a simple switch)
i had tried many tricks via searching like 30/30/30 or hard reset etc etc
is there a simple way to install its correct firmware ?

Hi,
Your router is probably bricked.
May be you can try to reload the firmware with TFTP just after power up (you have only 3s to do it), but only if the boot-loader is not dead...
After, only a JTAG cable can save it...

can u provide any easy link / tutorial to accomplish this ? i m not so PRO in terms of wireless technology..

I think your router is dead and the warranty dont recover wrong firmware flashed . Next time be sure to flash the right firmware.

i've been using this router as a simple SWITCH
& the reason of this i m not trying to upgrade ARCHER C7 into version V2.. juzz using version V1
