Firmware Version : 3.17.0 Build 150105 Rel.61576n

ISP : AKTA.RO Digital Cable System SA Romania

Hi! Please add support in TP_LINK Tether android apk app for my router TP-LINK TL-WR740N V4.27 hardware version. This router have support but only for v5.0 hardware version, not for v4.x hardware version. Thank you and i wait your reply.

Now that V4 is replaced by V5, V4 will probably be put out of development cycle. A lot of companies won't spend resource to add new features on old versions. That is how electric products go.

So I don't think TL-WR740N_V4 will get update to support Tether.

V4 is not so old. I think TP-LINK dont forgot so easy older devices and is not very hard to add support in TP_LINK Tether app .
Lets hope and wait any official reply from @tp-link http://forum.tp-link.com/member.php?1-tplink

@jonhanaley I am a blogger who runs many blogs and so needs wifi internet connection 24 hours a day so I bought TP-LINK TL-WR740N V4.27 wifi router but it disconnecting again and again. How to resolve this issue. And why does it keep reconnecting again and again?

@androholic TP-Link products are fine for home use. If it has the features you want, go for it. I have TP-Link routers 7 years old and still working without any problems, so yes, for home use it's a good brand. Yes, very reliable and very rich for the price too.
