Model: Deco BE95
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0

Hi. yesterday, I installed 3 Deco 95, replacing a Deco M9 Plus system. The installation went smoothly and I got excellent coverage throughout my house (big concrete house).

The satellites are wired backhauled to the main Deco and my modem is set in bridge mode by my provider. I can't access my modem settings.

I measured speeds around 450 in download and 20 in upload which is consistent with my internet connection.

However, regularly the speed drops to around 20/20. A reboot of the main Deco solves the problem but it seems to reappear after a while.

Any help/suggestion welcome, thank you.

A quick update. This morning, I decided to switch off the MLO network and no more problem. I hope this gets fixed at some point...

 I noticed another abnormal behaviour.

I activated the high priority on a Netatmo surveillance camera (connected in 2.4ghz on the IOT network) and saw that the overall network speed dropped from 400/20 mps to 19/19. QoS is inactive. As soon as I remove the high priority setting, the speed reverts back to 400/200.

Firmware of all 3 BE95 up to date.

  @AlainBE That's a problem in Deco series in QoS. If you set one device on high priority and set the limit of speed so the speed changed on all connected devices not only that specific device. I have Deco M4 and faced that same issue even on Deco X20. You can put your camera into isolation option so the camera will not interfere with other connected devices which will improve your overall network performance.

  @ARGamingPK1 thanks for your suggestion, I'll give it a try. Although, I'd just set the camera on high priority without setting any speed limit...

  @AlainBE So now your speed issue is resolved after this?

Let's rather say, I found a workaround: - I turned off the MLO network for the first reported problem - I disabled the high priority mode on one of my cameras So I wouldn't say the problems are resolved...

  @AlainBE I think you have to change the ethernet cable and then try also check the speed in Deco App how much speed are you getting on Deco App share a screenshot too. Sometimes ethernet cable 8 wires wiring are misconfigured thats why sometimes speed start fluctuating.

  @ARGamingPK1

All my cables are brand new Cat 6.

As said in my first post, I get download speeds between 400 and 500mps and uploads around 20 which is consistent with what my provider offers.

As soon as I enable the MLO network, it drops to 20/20. Same thing if I enable high priority on a device. When these are off, there is absolutely no fluctuation, it's rock steady.

One thing I can add is that this drop is not only showing on the WiFi, but also on my Mac which is wired connected...

  @AlainBE

Hi, Thanks for the update.

Can I have the model number of the devices whose network speed would be affected after enabling MLO network or setting the smart camera as "High Priority"?

So far, I haven't had any other suggestions. If you'd like to further cooperate with us, I'd like to escalate your case to the senior engineer for further assistance.

Please check whether you can receive my email later.

Best regards.
