Hi,
I already had the Powerline TP-Link 7610 Kit.

Now I bought the Powerline TP-Link 7817 Kit

I connected the master unit of the 7817 to the Tim router and it hooks up perfectly to the wifi unit (always the 7817 Kit model).

The problem arises when I insert the Wifi unit of the old model (7610 Kit)

The Wifi connection drops completely. It doesn't work in either of the two wifi extenders.

Why?

I specify that I completely disconnected the master unit of the 7610 Kit model

Thanks and sorry for my English

Hi @Giovannib,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

May I know, are some units working fine now? If yes, please keep them on original settings. For units that are not working, please follow the steps below to hard reset:

For the models which start with TL-PAxxxx, press and hold the Pair button for 15s until all LEDs turn off and then come back on.

For models beginning with TL-WPAxxxx, press and hold the Reset button for 10s. Release the button and all LEDs turn off. When the LEDs turn back on, the reset process is complete.

Then you can add new units as before.

Hi @joseph-

Thanks. I solved it by changing the position of the wifi unit of the tp-link 7610.

I did the single pair between each Wifi unit and the master of the TP-Link 7817 and now they both work.

I still have a question: can I use the master unit (no wifi) of the TP-Link 7610 as a signal repeater? In practice, connect the two master units (no wifi) in series to the modem.

Thanks
