Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 221123

Dear Community,

I have a TL-WPA4220 KIT. I have a receiver in my garage and my base kit connected in my rack, they are both on same phase.

Whenever I connect the 48V charger for my e-Bike to another outlet in my garage, the powerline disconnects the network.

The device is still running but the network led goes off and it becomes unreachable on network. That means all my WiFi devices in the garage stops working.

The only solution is I go there and plug out and back in. It will restart and work again even when the charger is still connected.

There is any solution to this, what do you think?

I should check if they are on the same circuit and if yes try to find another what is not? I mean for my e-bike charger.

Thank you very much.
Best regards,

HI@CoLeEe,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

If you are experiencing an unstable internet connection on your TP-Link powerline devices, or the Powerline LED frequently turns off, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. For wired powerline adapters, check if Power Saving Mode is enabled. You can disable it using the tpPLC utility. Refer to this FAQ for detailed instructions: How to enable/disable power saving mode on powerline adapters
    2. Move the powerline extender closer to the router and the powerline adapter. Placing them in the same room for testing.
    3. Test the internet connection by connecting your client devices directly to the main router. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the powerline connection or if it's a problem with the router itself.
    4. If the problem seems to be isolated to a specific client device, try connecting that device to a different network to see if the issue persists. Additionally, you can try using different Ethernet cables or ports for wired client devices to rule out any potential cable or port issues.

  @Joseph-TP

Dear Joseph, Thanks for your fast reply.

Yes I was reading a LOT about powerline adapters and im using it since a while, I have a 3 piece kit. Im a Network architect engineer and based on my knowledge and experience I tried EVERYTHING what I can.

First of all in the tpPLC utility application on windows I disabled the Power Saving Mode, that was the first thing I did when I bought it and I seen some pings are out, so network is disconnected, of course that solved that issue, but not the actual issue.

Actually the powerline adapter and receiver are both in the same room next to each other, but as soon I connect a charger to the wall outlet somewhere else it disconnects, if they are on the same phase. The adapter is connected to my main router with a single UTP cable.

Internet connection is perfect when its working, but as soon I connect a charger to one of my outlets, powerline dies and only restart helps. Most probably this is a hardware design problem, if something happens on the electricity circuit the powerline cannot stand online and will be confused and stops.

There is no client issue here, I think you misunderstood the post. The whole receiver stops and drops network, so the whole WiFi and cable connection connected to the receiver stop working. I tried to test with my second receiver and that is also doing the same.

Thank you.

Hi,

Can you please get us the exact model information from the label of the Powerline adapter without the Wi-Fi (look for something along the lines of "TL-PA4010    EU/4.0") and also the firmware version of that same Powerline adapter (use the tpPLC Utility to show this information) ?
