TP-Link C9 and Samsung Printer via WPS

Region : Australia
Model : Archer C9
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : 3.16.29 Build 20150122 Rel.64222n
ISP :
Can't get my new Samsung C410W printer seen by the C9 using WPS.
C9 has been reset back to factory so all settings are default
Samsung is a day old (works using USB or Ethernet)
Comodo Firewall is disabled, no windows firewall, antivirus disabled
I've printed out the Samsung config so I have all the internal settings (including WPS pin) on hand.
Using my mobile phone I can see the Samsung wifi signal and the C9's 2.4 and 5GHz signals (clearly shows WPS available, and the phone CAN connect using this method).
Method 1 is to press the Sammy WPS button, followed by the C9 within 2 mins: http://i.imgur.com/oI2gftp.png
Method 2 is to use the Sammy PIN: http://i.imgur.com/PayNZxR.png
Using WPS on the C9, followed by the Sammy has the same result.
Method 3 is to connect the printer to the PC via USB and run the wireless config tool.
C9 settings: http://i.imgur.com/iQ7N8V5.png
Step 1 (pressing NEXT): http://i.imgur.com/XpeAzXA.jpg
Step 2 (password): http://i.imgur.com/varRU3V.jpg
Result (invalid security): http://i.imgur.com/mpodxvi.jpg
If I go back and do the advanced setup it's the same (invalid security) result:

Did you ever try to connect the printer to any other Wi-Fi networks?
Change the SSID and password for C9 first. And try to reconnect via wireless config tool.
If you get the same error, try to disable Wi-Fi security on C9. You may have to contact your printer's technical support and check it.

Printer is fresh out of the box, C9 is two weeks old.
No joy with any combination - all say invalid network security, even with security disabled.
I'll post back with any updates.
EDIT:
It's one of those days.
EDIT 2: From TP link support...
So there are different WPS standards? I give up.

There was an error while attempting do deliver your message... Sender Address Blacklisted.

EDIT 2: From TP link support...
Could you please help me do the following troubleshooting?
1.The wireless works well or not if you connect other device, for example your laptop, smartphone or your ipad? If works well, please double check are there any special settings on the printer with printer's support?
2.Usually the WPS is not successful due to WPS do not has the Uniform standard.May be the printer's WPS is not the same one with the router. So you can try to contact with the printer's support to log into the printer's website to connect the wireless.
So there are different WPS standards? I give up.

Umm, you didn't mention the method 3? That is not connecting via WPS and it should not cause any problem.
Did you contact your printer's technical support?

After spending at least 18 hours on this I'm moving on. Samsung tech support was of no help (basically just a repeat of all the steps tried here).
The amazon reviews for this printer are terrible, so I'm going to print via USB until the toner runs out and throw it away.
Thank you for your help, Tony.

I've got the same problem here with a Samsung M2022W Printer and an Archer C9. The printer works fine with a Fritzbox Access Point, which has the same SSID and the WPA key as the Archer C9 (the Fritzbox wifi is usually disabled). This setup works well with all my other devices. So when i disable the Archer and turn on the Fritzbox wifi, they will use it and vice versa.
But not the Samsung printer. WPS push button doesn't work, WPS PIN is also not working and manually configuring it via the web interface also doesn't work. Resetting the network setting doesn't help. So I don't think it is WPS related, but rather a general problem between the Archer and the Samsung printer.

Samsung M2885FW Printer and TP-LINK Archer C9 Wi-Fi Router not Connecting on Wireless
2015-10-05 18:04:40
Samsung M2885FW printer and TP-LINK Archer C9 Wi-Fi router not connecting on wireless – authentication keeps failing.
Both equipment are brand new. Tried all alternatives, none worked.
Printer is connecting on Wi-Fi without issues with my old TP-LINK TL-WR841N Wi-Fi router.
Would appreciate if either Samsung, or TP-LINK (or both) would resolve the problem.
Regards,
Istvan
Further to the above I also tested my Samsung M2885FW printer with TP-LINK WDR3600 dual band Wi-Fi router. The authentication on wireless was done instantly.
Having looked into the specification of C9 found that the chipsets in the old routers are Atheros, whereas in the C9 it is Broadcom. Could that be that the firmware of C9 is causing this incompatibility?
To be honest, it is quite annoying that you buy the latest and greatest from TP-LINK and it does not serve the purpose. Could we expect some update from TP-LINK to resolve this incompatibility any time soon?
Regards,
Istvan

Samsung M2022W - TP-Link Archer C8
2015-10-25 04:42:29
I have the same problem with WiFi printer Samsung M2022W. It can't connect TP-Link Archer C8. I have tried different wireless security options on the router WPA, WPA2, AES.. and also with no security at all.
Finally I found out that the printer can connect guest network. With checked "Allow Guests To Access My Local Network" I have managed to connect my printer.
The questions are:
What is the difference between guest network and regular one?
And, is there any security issue with sharing guest network with mine?
Regards

Thanks Tikwa for the hint, I'll try it with my C9 as well.

Re:TP-Link C9 and Samsung Printer via WPS

I have Samsung Xpress C460W connected to Archer C9 without any issues out of the box.
I have UPnP and WPS disabled on all routers.
It is a lot easier to setup the Samsung printer to connect to specific network and just manually entering your network key.
You can use the printer controls, the software setup, or internal print server.
I am not sure if this applies to your case, but once time I had a hard time connecting an HP printer to a network that it could see via WPS because I had limited the router's wireless settings to parameters beyond the printer's specs (ie 5 GHz, 802.11ac, security, etc). Have you tried 11bgn mixed?
I will try to go back through posts and see if any issues stand out.

Then, once the printer is setup on its own, you can add printer to your device.
The Samsung Printer Diagnostics is also a pretty useful tool for troubleshooting.
