Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

Hi! I need some help.. I'm Swedish, so please forgive my english!

My Deco M4 mesh system in our house is intermittently dropping it's connection. Or more specific, there are several units within the system that's looses it's connection. As an example, the LG tv loose connection once almost every night we watch tv, but my iPhone still got internet connection at the same time as the tv drops its internet. So it feels almost like it's the mesh system that doesn't do well with these units. After the drop, the units usually gets reconnected about 5-15 seconds later.

These units are well within the range of the nearest Deco unit, so it shouldn't be a range issue. It's our LG tv, a surveillance camera, an Apple TV 4K and sometimes our iPhones that's usually have these problems.

Things I've tried:

- Deselecting "mesh" for these units

- Setting them up for "high priority"

- restarting everything, resetting everything

- Tried different settings with ivp6 and such

But nothing helps. It's so annoying..

I have theee M4 v4 units and one v2 unit in the mesh system, but I'm pretty sure the problem was there before we added the v2 unit.

Can anyone help, please?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

How many devices do you have? Are the unstable devices (like your LG tv, a surveillance camera an Apple TV 4K) connected to which Deco(main or satellite) and which wireless band(2.4GHz or 5GHz)?

If you connect these devices to the Deco guest network, does the same issue happen?

You may follow the guide to take more troubleshooting steps.

Please share more details and the related results if you  need further suggestions.

Best regards.

Hey! Thanks for your help!

The connected units doesn't connect to the same Deco, they are on different sides of the house connecting to both the router Deco and satellites. I think the camera is on 2.4 ghz. The Apple TV can run on both I think (I tried to force it to the 2.4 but I can't). So it's not like all of them run in 2.4, but I will surely try to create a guest network to see if that has something to do with it.

i tried to disable fast roaming, and I haven't had issues with the LG tv and the camera yet, but it's to soon to call it solved I think. The Apple TV still behaves the same.. Is there a reason to reset the Apple TV to make the new fast roaming setting work?
