So I need 2???

Model: TL-WPA8631P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: No idea

Bought the AV1300 powerline - AC1200 Wi-Fi in the hope I could get wifi in my garage which is electrically powered from my house.

I thought I could set up the unit by plugging into my router, and then move the plug closer to my garage.

I've read the small print on the box and it say I need 2 to make it work. Is that right?

Never had one of these before.

Thanks all.

 Hi @Mogs,

Thank you for contacting our community.

It can not work if you only have single powerline unit,because TP-Link Powerline adapters are designed to work in pairs to create a Powerline network
1. You should have at least two Powerline products to build a Powerline network
2. The adapters must be connected to the same electrical circuit whether wired or wireless ones
3. Therefore, TP-Link Powerline adapters are primarily designed to work in pairs rather than as single units..

If you need a unit to expand the Wi-Fi, you can consider buying a range extender.
