Hi guys,

this is a strange one for me. I have a pair of PLA6010s and according to the utility they are synced at ~450Mb, which is great. The weird part is that, if I am copying files from my NAS or my laptop to the PC over the PLA6010s I get ~150Mbps. I thought this was maybe the limit so to be sure I kicked off a speedtest in a browser and I noticed the bandwidth of the PLA6010 was not fully saturated and there was at least another 150Mb left. I took a screenshot to show this. The spike on the left is where the speedtest kicked in and the bandwidth on the plugs jumps to nearly 300Mb. I removed the plugs from the equation and used ethernet and got 1Gb transfer speeds to/from the same devices. So can anyone tell me why the transfer of files over the plugs does not saturate the bandwidth of the plugs? Thanks

B

What's the speed of copying files when both NAS and laptop connecting to main router directly?
Or connect NAS and laptop by a network cable and assign static IP for both to test the speed.
What I am trying to say is that the transfer of files over the plugs may be limted by NAS or laptop itself.

Thanks for the response but you will see I said the following above " I removed the plugs from the equation and used ethernet and got 1Gb transfer speeds to/from the same devices.". So the plugs are the issue as far as I can see
