Update not working
I have three Deco PX50 and three X50. Recently the update function won't work. If I remove all the X50 units from the network, the update function does work. I also have BE25 units which work fine. So, for some reason, the X50 units are still point the update function from working. has anyone else noticed this problem?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Can I have the current firmware version of the Deco X50?
As 1.2.3 Build 20240724 Rel. 28307 is the latest firmware for Deco PX50_V1, when you mentioned "update not working", are you trying to say Deco X50 can't detect any new firmware version or something else?
Would there be any error message?
By the way, did you set Deco PX50 as the main Deco? How about the Deco BE25? Is it working as a satellite unit for Deco PX50 Mesh, or is it used as an individual Mesh network?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP Hi David. The X50 has firmware 1.0.6 Build 20211224 Rel. 43903. I just added it as an extra Deco. The B25 is also on the network as a satellite. One of the PX50 is acting as the main router. Without the x50 on the network, the update works and shows the PX50 and B25. When the X50 is added I get the message "Could not update.

Hi, Thanks for the update.
I think it might be due to the current firmware for the Deco X50 is quite old.
You can find the IP address of the satellite Deco X50 on the Deco APP, such as:
Then, it is suggested to access its individual web UI via this IP address and install the firmware here:
Deco X50_1.0_1.1.0_Build_20221102 Rel. 66085
After that, you can try to update to the official 1.6.1 version here or the latest 1.6.7 beta firmware:
1.6.1: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-x50/v1/#Firmware
1.6.7: Deco X50/X55_V1_1.6.7 Optimized the Client Network Stability
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@MarkSp Hi David, That worked although I had to go all the way to the Beta 1.6.7 update. Thanks so much for the support. Excellent as always.
