Model : TL-WR720N

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 4.19.62

ISP : Globe Telecom Philippines

Hi, My sister recently bought a phone ASUS Zenfone 5, there was no problem in connecting to other wifi places in google play, but the problem is my wifi connection at home, it says no connection in google play, stuck on signing in google account through mobile web browser(google chrome), also can't upload photos on instagram. but when i try to disable wifi and use data connection, all is working fine, including the wifi in other places. her sim card is also globe, and there's no problem in using data connection. I already made a report with my ISP but it's not responding for days now. Tried every possible things around the internet, at this point, i can conclude that it wasn't the problem of the phone. I also tried doing factory reset and it's the same. I think it's my ISP or wifi problem.

Try to configure DNS 8.8.8.8 manually on the phone to see if it helps.
Any other web browser on the phone to try?
What's the firmware version of your router?

Change MTU to1400.
Any other wireless clients work OK by the router?
Update the phone to latest version.

Thanks for this. It works now! But i have a question, there's some note in regards to changing the value of MTU, the default is 1500. How or what will happen after i changed the value of MTU? i google it and can't still understand what really this means in a simple term.

When it is 1500, some packets cannot be passed which cause the previous problem.
After we reduce the value, they can pass through now. But we should not change it lower than 1400 because it may cause a different problem like speed issue or something else.
Anyway, you can also try 1440 or 1480. Keep the higher value and ensure you can access internet properly.
