Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

I have bought the Deco XE75 Pro, but i'm struggling with setting them up. My setup consists out of an ISP all-in-one modem, router and AP solution that connects to the main node through an ethernet cable. Wifi is disabled on the modem. I do not want to remove this device from my solution because there are certain devices (tv boxes) that are managed by the ISP and they need to be setup behind the modem, they cannot go behind the deco. Now after a lot of struggling I retraced my steps and started doing research again and found out that VLAN (VLAN tag) WAN tagging and IPoE session support is needed in order for the main node to take over the router an AP function. During setup I noticed advanced features and found VLAN there. I set it to the correct settings but it did not work.

Kind regards

Meridius

Hi, have you tried to configure "Dynamic IP" on the Deco?

I think the VLAN tagging and IPOE settings have been configured on the ISP all-in-one gateway already. You only disable its WiFi features, and the ISP gateway would still keep the DHCP/NAT functions.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

When I do that I can see that it gets an IP assigned in the ISP management portal but it shows that it can't establish an internet connection.

Hi, If the wired laptop used the same Ethernet connection from the ISP Fiber all-in-one gateway, will the PC receive an internet connection successfully?

If yes, what would be the IP settings on the laptop?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Yes, an internet connection can be established successfully. The laptop is configured to receive and IP address through DHCP. Idk if this information is usefull, but are there any ISP's (in my case Proximus which is a Belgian ISP) that are not compatible with this product?

If I try to connect to Deco through a LAN bridge from my ISP modem/router combo that I need to provide the WAN mac address of the Deco. Now the problem is how can I find that? I know that you can find it in the deco app and in on the label at the bottom of the deco. They both say 'f0:09:0d:d4:3f:51', but if I go look on the information tab of the webportal of the ISP it lists this mac address for the deco: f0:09:0d:d4:3f:52. I have tried both and they do not work, because when I go check in the deco app it says 'no internet connection' on the main deco.

Hi, the label MAC  'f0:09:0d:d4:3f:51' is the LAN MAC address, and if the ISP requires MAC binding, you should use the WAN MAC address  'f0:09:0d:d4:3f:52'.

If the laptop works well over the same Ethernet connection, maybe the ISP has binded another MAC address before. And it is suggested to manually clone the MAC address of the laptop to see whether it helps:

Where to find the MAC address of the laptop:
