CHAP Authentication only using first 20 characters of username
Region : Argentina
Model : TD-W8968
Hardware Version : V3
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Hi all,
I have just purchased a TD-W9980 but unfortunately I am having problems getting connected to my ISP (EE). All the settings are correct but when the PPP Username is passed for CHAP authentication I've noticed from the System Log it is only passing the first 20 characters, unfortunately my PPP Username is 25 characters long so it never authenticates.
I have also tested by entering 012345678901234567890123456789 as the PPP Username, I then checked the System Log to find that it was only using 01234567890123456789 and leaving the last 10 characters off when trying to authenticate.
Has anyone else come across this before as I cannot find anything about it on the Forums or from Googling around?
I have upgraded to the latest version of firmware for the TD-W9980 v1 which is 0.6.0.1.10 v0021.0 Build 141215 Rel.41342n build this has not resolved the problem.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
