TP-Link Deco X55 Review – Real User Experience (don't buy it)
I want to share my extremely negative experience with the TP-Link Deco X55 mesh system.
I purchased this system expecting stability and solid performance, but from day one it has been a constant source of frustration for me and my family.
Main issues:
• Frequent automatic reboots (5 to 6 times per day – now it restarts every time that a new device connects, or if i have more than 20 devices).
• Total loss of network connectivity across the house each time this happens.
• Devices drop off the mesh network, even when physically close to the Deco units.
• Internal system logs show critical errors such as:
• sh: on: unknown operand
• uci: Entry not found
• Missing essential files (mesh_dev_list)
• I’ve tried everything: firmware updates, factory resets, cable replacements, repositioning units, disabling advanced features – nothing works.
Bottom line:
The Deco X55 is not reliable and falls way short of its promises. I strongly do not recommend this system to anyone looking for a stable home or office network. A Wi-Fi system that randomly reboots several times a day is completely unacceptable in 2025.
Avoid this product if you value stability.
